Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media critic for over 20 years. She's also an accomplished public speaker. She is the founder of Feminist Frequency the site with videos and guest posts on the representations of women in popular culture. Anita Sarkeesian was a Canadian as well as an American feminist media critique. Feminist Frequency is a non-profit educational website which explores the representations of females in the popular media narratives. Aiming to dispel the myths of women that exist in pop culture, she has also been working to address issues relating to harassing women targeted by the media and other classes of people online. Sarkeesian, who holds the degree of Master's in Social and Political Thought in the field of social and political thought from York University, is a well-known public speaker. She has spoken at the TEDxWomen festival as well as United Nations Broadband Working Group for Gender. Feminist Frequency was founded on the 9th of September 2009 by Sarkeesian. university student who has been interested in issues concerning gender and feminism for a long time. Someone who hoped to create a web series that examined the gender-based representation in video games was targeted in an internet-based campaign. The incident did not deter her, but instead strengthened her resolve as a feminist critic of media. She is a recipient of several awards for her contributions to feministism. Anita Sarkeesian is an award winner for her media criticism and is the co-founder of Feminist Frequency an educational non-profit focused on the portrayal of women within pop culture and the narratives that surround them.
