Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer as well as a musician. She works predominantly in Tamil as well as Malayalam language films. She made her acting debut in Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian background. Her parents were an Madras High Court attorney. Also, she has a younger sister, currently employed as a research associate in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah lived in the vicinity of Chennai she went to National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing classical piano in her eighth year. She sang in the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars aged 10. It was this group that shaped the foundation for her music and singing career. While at college, she was also a theater artist and performed in stage shows organized by The Madras Players. She was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's career in theatre began by appearing in the film of Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in a new Leo coffee commercial together with actor Shiva in 2006. She also acted on the Podhigai Channel in a television show. She acted throughout India. There was a brief appearance in the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). After she rendered a song in Gautham Vasudev Menon's film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiya the director asked her to join as one of the lead female characters in his upcoming project Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea was Kalyani the wife who's husband is involved in an extramarital affair. Andrea was chosen to play the role after Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were contacted by the producers. The film was released in the early part of 2010 The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu released his multi-starrer Mankatha. The film was commissioned to play a minor part in the film. Annayum Rasoolum which is a romance film by Rajeev ravi released in 2013, was the actress's Malayalam debut.
