Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best famous for her character House in the Fox the medical thriller House. After being raised by traditional Jews from Wayne, New York City was where she set her sights to study acting at Tisch. She was soon involved in the club scene, creating enough fuss to draw the attention of the media. Then, she used her experiences as well as her celebrity to write and compose the musical called Positive Me in which she starred. Her first gig was on MTV as host of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. When the show ended, she went on to do film as well as TV productions. Her first job was in smaller roles, and then became established gradually as an actor.
